Monday Blues?

Okay, I am sure we are all on the same page here when I say Monday’s aren’t the best day of the week. Now normally I don’t mind Monday’s because I don’t work…But today was a little different. I woke up and had a mainly productive morning/early afternoon, until I went to the grocery store. I didn’t even make it inside before I was over today. I called to pay a bill but needed to talk to a person in order to do so…long story short, I was disconnected from my phone call THREE times! 3! And did I ever get it sorted out? Nope. I gave up and decided to try again tomorrow.

Eleanor quote

I mean I was already in the grocery store parking lot, and no matter how frustrated I was we needed coffee and a few other things. So I took a deep breath, got out of my car and did what needed to be done. The moral of this story is, no matter how frustrated something makes you, tomorrow is a new day. If you are able to, push it off and try again tomorrow because there is no point in letting something that is pretty much beyond your control affect the rest of your day.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of my system. I promised my next post would be either Bachelor related or a product review post. Now, since it is Monday that means the Bachelor came on tonight…but I haven’t even had a chance to watch it yet! So that post will come some other day this week. But I think I can squeeze some of my favorite products for you all.

First, if anyone knows me at all they would know I’m obsessed with chapstick. Like it’s bad, they are in my purse, my apron for work, my car, next to my bed…EVERYWHERE. I don’t know why I always feel the need to put on chapstick but I do and honestly I’m kind of picky about the kind I use. I don’t want it to be glossy, or tinted, or leave that white peeling stuff around your lips because honestly, it looks gross.

raspberry-lemonade-chapstickBut this… THIS is my absolutely favorite. It tastes good and it goes on so silky smooth and maybe the best part is it is super cheap and you can normally find it at any CVS or Walgreens or in line at the grocery store. I highly recommend checking it out if you never have before!

Next, is my all time HANDS DOWN favorite mascara. I’ve seriously tried SO SO many mascaras. All drugstore brands. Most people prefer drugstore brands because they are
1. cheaper and
2. you can buy them the same day you run out if you need to

But I’m telling you this stuff is worth the price, and it is worth waiting for it to arrive. You just have to order it about a week before you run out or when you notice you are running low. It’s called Epic. You may have heard of Younique, the Direct Sales makeup and skincare company. If you’ve never heard of it, it is similar to LuLaRoe, Mary Kay, Scentsy etc. You have to know someone to be able to order it. You’ll def hear me mention this business again 😉 Now let’s get down to it. These are my personal results using the Epic

I’ll let the picture speak for itself (mostly) but since I love it so much, I’m just going to say, it’s the best stuff I’ve ever tried. It naturally lengthens, curls and volumizes your lashes and it doesn’t clump! It’s always water resistant, but not water proof. Basically the same, just don’t rub your eyes after you get your face wet and you’re good to go. Highly recommend it and you can get it at LasheswithChas.com

The third product I want to recommend is the Pond’s Dry Skin Cream.
This stuff is Ah-mazing! I have always had super dry skin, and living in Michigan most of my life hasn’t helped with the super cold winters and dry air. I’ve tried so many things to try and fix this issue but this little jar of magic is the only thing I’ve used that actually helped improve the dryness of my face. It is like five bucks at any drugstore, Wal-Mart etc. I’ve had the same jar for like six months and still have a ton left so it’s well worth trying, especially for how cheap it is.

Well I could recommend products to you all day and night honestly, but I’ll just end tonight’s post with those three! As always if you have any questions feel free to comment or contact me and reach out! I hope you all have a great Tuesday tomorrow and I’ll be back in the next day or two with a Bachelor post!

Sunday Funday

Today is technically my Saturday since I worked Friday and Saturday so I’m a happy camper.

As promised, I’m here today to tell you all about my weekend.
Friday work was not at all what I expected. If you’ve ever served you can totally relate when I say I had ALL the campers in my section. And by ALL, I’m talking one table sat for over an hour after they paid, and another which took 3 of my tables sat for 3 hours…Needless to say, I had a pretty lame Friday shift but you can’t win them all right?

Saturday morning I worked again, it was much better thankfully!
After work we had our date night and went to a Hibachi grill for Restaurant week so it was a cheap bill for a nice meal. It was SO good and we had leftovers today so that was nice 🙂 We were supposed to go ice skating but we just decided to go home and play some games and have some drinks!

Today I am stuck doing homework because I pushed it off until now.. Oops. I guess I shouldn’t have procrastinated but it isn’t due until tomorrow at midnight so I have time.
I’ve noticed I do my best work when I’m under pressure and a strict deadline! Even though I’m doing homework, we have football playing and we are ordering pizza later. I can’t say I’m complaining about my Sunday!

Grocery shopping is on the list for things to do either today or tomorrow. We are trying to eat healthier so it’s becoming more difficult to find meals I can make that are easy or fast. I’ve fallen in love with my crockpot but have found that most recipes are NOT healthy enough. We really want to cut back on too much dairy products in our meals. Less cheese and milk based products. But man, I’m telling you EVERYTHING has milk or cheese products in the recipe haha.

Pinterest has become my BEST FRIEND when it comes to recipes that’s for sure.  You can literally search anything and you’ll find something yummy. I think tomorrow I’m making meatballs and mashed potatoes, and Tuesday we might have parmesan crusted chicken with sweet potatoes and broccoli! If you have any healthy/easy recipes feel free to leave them in the comments as we are always looking for new things to make 🙂

If you’re interested in any of my fitness or recipe pins feel free to add me on Pinterest and take a look, my username is Chassie725

I should probably stop pushing off my homework again and get to it. I’ll catch you all later this week! Stay tuned as I will be doing a Bachelor post as well as a product review for some of my FAVORITE things!

And so it begins..

This first post is going to just give you a few facts about me, give you an idea of who I am, show you a quick outer layer of me.

I started this blog to give myself a place to share things I love, products, people, places.
Experiences, adventures, travels. Business, my schooling, my job. And everything in between. I will be doing a variety of posts but trust me, you’ll enjoy them.

A little about me, hmm..where to start??
I am a 26 year old college student/server. I am a Navy girlfriend. I am a Netflix lovin, book reading, gym goin’, sleep lovin, good time havin’, all around chick..oh and I have the mouth of a sailor sometimes (If that offends you, I’m sorry in advance). That basically describe me in a nutshell.

I have been dating my now boyfriend for a year and a half and he is in the Navy. He is still doing his schooling for it which is why I made the BIG move to South Carolina from Michigan. I believe this new adventure being a military girlfriend will bring me a ton of new experiences and stories, so stay tuned for that.

I am also a new Auntie as of last year, I became an aunt to an beautiful little girl and a handsome little boy. My niece is 7 months currently and my little nephew is only two months old! You can imagine how hard it was leaving them when I moved, but luckily I’ll get to see them soon.

I am a server/bartender, and boy I have some stories to tell you from that. I’ve been doing that for 9 years all while working towards a Business Marketing degree. I am so close to my degree I can taste it! But while I’ve been bartending and serving I’ve come across some amazing people, some crazy ass people and some good stories. I’ll eventually share with you some of those times of my life as well.

Well, it’s Friday and that’s super exciting. Although I should probably check into my homework so I don’t have to do it over the weekend! Tomorrow I work in the morning but me and my boyfriend are having a date night! Hibachi and ice skating! I can’t wait 🙂 What are your plans for the weekend?

I’ll get back to you on Sunday with another post.
